Zines, Ages 7-12
Wednesdays 5:45-6:45 pm, Vista Bonita Park
This class will take students through the process of designing a concept for their very own zine! The subject matter will be completely open to the student's discretion and various materials will be used throughout the course of the class. The final project will include a zine made from 11" x 17" paper, and each student will receive a scan of their work upon the completion of the class. Students will be encouraged to produce copies of their zine to share them with their friends and family. All materials will be provided, and a material fee of $25 will be due before the first class.
There are 8 spots available for this class, and parents do not need to attend the lesson. Please include the name, age, and pronouns of the artist under "Add a note" at checkout.
Schedule
Classes will run from October 4th to November 15th. There will be 5 weeks of consecutive classes, and then, on the week of November 6th, there will be a built-in makeup lesson offered for each class at the typical time. The next week will be the final week of classes and include a gallery reception for students of all classes on November 16th at 6pm to celebrate the artwork created and enjoy light refreshments.
*No refunds can be provided & there will be no makeup classes outside of the scheduled makeup week*
Location
Classes will take place outdoors in the University Hills Vista Bonita Park on Vista Bonita Drive. We will utilize the picnic tables at the BBQ area. There are bathrooms for the students to use during class.
Class will start promptly at the scheduled time. Please arrive a few minutes early so that class time can be optimized.
