Tuesdays 5:15-6:15 pm, Gateway Park

In this class we will learn to draw different parts of the face and practice self portraits. The primary materials will be pencils of various leads. Upon completion of the course, artists will have a sketchbook with their work, showing their progression through the class. Sketchbooks and all materials will be provided for the student's use, and a material fee of $25 will be due before the first class.

There are 8 spots available for the self portrait class, and parents do not need to attend. Please include the name, age, and pronouns of the artist under "Add a note" at checkout. 

Schedule

Classes will run from October 3rd to November 14th. There will be 5 weeks of consecutive classes, and then, on the week of November 6th, there will be a built-in makeup lesson offered for each class at the typical time. The next week will be the final week of classes and include a gallery reception for students of all classes on November 16th at 6pm to celebrate the artwork created and enjoy light refreshments.

Location 

Classes will take place outdoors in the University Hills Gateway Park at the junction of Angelou and Coltrane. We will utilize the picnic tables at the BBQ area. There are bathrooms and water fountains for the students to use.

Class will start promptly at the scheduled time. Please arrive a few minutes early so that class time can be optimized.
