Located in Downtown Santa Ana, the Blue Lot Forge is a collaborative metal shop shared by Margo Alleman and Joy Fire. The space serves as both a working studio and a site for experimentation, where custom metal pieces, sculptural works, furniture, and one of a kind commissions are designed and built by hand. Rooted in craftsmanship and creativity, the shop reflects the distinct voices of two artists while creating room for shared ideas to grow.
More than a workspace, the Blue Lot Forge is built on collaboration and mutual support. Margo and Joy regularly assist one another throughout the design and fabrication process, offering feedback, technical knowledge, and extra hands when projects demand it. Their shared environment allows each artist to take on more ambitious work, from large-scale sculpture to functional objects that require multiple stages of making. As working artists in Santa Ana, they are committed to sustaining a creative life through community, resource sharing, and hands on making. The Blue Lot Forge stands as an example of what can happen when artists invest in one another, creating a space where craftsmanship, experimentation, and partnership thrive side by side.
